About Burly Barrel Saunas

Structure

The Burly Barrel is 12 feet long with a 7 foot diameter. Hot room measures 8 feet long, and each sauna has a 4 foot interior changing room, to hang towels, store firewood and create a buffer from outside temperatures.

Heat

Burly Saunas are equipped with Finnish made Harvia Stove.  Wood heats better, hotter and more efficiently than electric stoves, making Burly the hottest barrel sauna on the market. The stove is the heart of the sauna, so we don't cut any corners. Stoves are interior loading, so you don't have to leave to monitor the temperature.

Fire resistant hearth pads are installed, as well as class A stainless steel, insulated stove pipe.

Design

Burly Barrels are twice the thickness of traditional barrel saunas, using western red cedar 2x4s instead of 1x4s. This design goes the extra mile to insulate the sauna and retain heat even in the dead of winter.

Details

Each sauna has a long rectangular window in the back providing extra light.

Diamond windows are installed on each door.

Saunas come with floor drains, solar powered exterior lights, and hinged benches.

Hooks, sand timer, sauna thermometer included.

If It's Going to Last, It's Gotta Be Burly

The Burly design comes from a love of sauna, and an understanding of craftmanship. Like you, we know the good things in life take time to build, attentiveness to improve, and a commitment to quality. We spent time figuring out what works best, so that you don't have to. All you have to do is enjoy.

Committed to The Burly Design

Burly Sauna design isn't for everyone. They're big, hearty, and well - burly. They take up some space.

Enough space for friends. For family.

Or simply space to be in solitude.
